In laboratory experiments, fulvic acid inhibited the assembly of tau protein into fibrils and helped break down existing aggregates. This is an interesting direction for neuroscience, while benefits for memory, concentration or stress resilience in people still require clinical confirmation.

In rats fed a high-fat diet, an organic mineral complex containing humic and fulvic substances reduced the rise in fasting blood glucose at the higher studied dose. The result concerns a specific mixture and animal model; it does not establish hormone regulation or a treatment for diabetes in people.
